Speak Out
Speak Out was a music and poetry project that gave young people a platform for their views and opinions. No constraints, no boundaries, just saying what they think about the world and their place in it.
The project was developed out of an understanding that our organisation needed to hear, and more importantly to listen, if we hoped to have a conversation with our local young people and in turn be able to offer them anything relevant to their lives.
Ownership of this project belongs to the young people themselves and supported by numerous partners namely: Robertsbridge Community College, Robertsbridge Arts Partnership, Rother District Council, Audio Active and delivered by Hillary Watkins of East Sussex County Council Youth Work, musician Jack Kingslake and performance poet Tommy Sissons.
